| Thanks to the efforts of
sculptors Messrs. Amgalan, Sodnomtseren, Altankhuiag, supervising
engineers Mrs. Enkhbayar and Zagaa, the workers of their constructing
company Buukh as well as contracted local workers, all construction could
be completed in extremely difficult weather conditions within a relatively
short period of 5 months. As often in my working life, the role of my
brother Ligden was crucial for the success of the whole project especially
in the times of my absence from the country. |
The work was still going
on when local people started to come and observe what now became more
understandable to them. Three maps of three ancient empires, decorated
with images from the period chronicles, the symbolic sacrificial stupa
"ovoo" in the center. The locals all seemed to be leaving the site
with pride.
