Grand-grandfather Radnajav, Kiakht (1890-s). He was an interpreter, member of the Russian Geographic Society and in the 1910-ies a Colonel of the Cossack forces in Siberia (the picture on the right). He spoke six languages, traveled a lot and compiled a Mongolia-Chinese-Russian dictionary. In 1921 he was killed by armed robbers who had spread around Siberia in great numbers after the fall of the Russian empire in 1917.
